I tried to tell you people

What do you mean by you people? Oh just calm down.

What I mean is that Saturday night was a lot of fun. First, Tussle, from San Francisco. Two drummers, one bass player, one weird mustached guy playing around with knobs, and a "High Priestess" on theremin and other stuff. Pretty good. And a video going behind them of lame graphics. Then the big boys, Hot Chip. The place was packed with the under 18 set, fired up to be there. Plus a handful of chaperones. Five guys, all manning keyboards, with breaks for guitar or percussion, or just to dance around and jump. Very high energy, very fun. Songs that are on their albums were altered and improved, and many songs were unreleased. A bit short, at about 80 minutes, but that's indie rock for ya. A lot of fun. Like I predicted. And you people sat at home, didn't you? I hope you're happy.

This week: prepare your ears for Wolfmother!!
