Made it to Pianos for the first time ever. Why had I not been there before? I blame myself. I liked the venue, the bar, and the stage; didn't make it upstairs, which also had music. I'd go back to the venue for sure. First band we caught was House and Parish. Yawn. Then Frightened Rabbit. Definitely not a yawner, but far from mindblowing. Good stage presence, quick witted, some fun songs, but didn't strike me as a very original sound.

Today grabbing breakfast in the cafeteria I heard Bobby 'Blue' Bland's version of Yield Not to Temptation. That song is just gold.
