I said I would, and I did. I went to The Annex to see Laura Marling. Cool venue. First was Fred Thomas, playing solo. He said he had a song played on NPR. I guess NPR needs a lot of music, because his stuff was fair. The song he said NPR used was certainly his best. Then Laura. Basically the same set, but less nervous, no screw ups, and oh yeah! I got the whole thing on video. Damn I wish I could figure out how to upload it. Boy someday this site will be, well, it'll be less visually boring than it is now. You know I painted that abstract art thing on top in Photoshop, right? OK, I didn't. But I've got video of a Laura Marling show and you don't. I came home after her set because I didn't feel like staying at the club by myself and feeling like a loser. I decided to listen to music by the headliner, and if I liked it I would've gone back. And here I am.
